Aliaksandr Vaitseshyk, the legal inspector of the Trade Union of Radio Electronic Industry from Baranavichy, has received an answer from the Niasvizh District Department of the Investigative Committee, signed by Senior Lieutenant of Justice Aleh Huryn.

The letter says that
an inspection of manifestations of corruption in the actions of the Niasvizh District Police Department has been conducted on his appeal, and according to its results he was denied in bringing a criminal case due to the absence of a socially dangerous act.

Mr. Vaitseshyk disagrees with such conclusions of the inspection and has filed an appeal with the Niasvizh District Prosecutor's Office, asking to check the validity of the decision of the Investigative Committee.

Let us remind that on November 17, 2014, legal inspector Vaitseshyk was unexpectedly imprisoned for two days. That day he asked to be issued with a book of complaints and comments at a public catering point. However, the barmaid and director refused to do it, though the book is to be issued on the first demand of a client. Therefore, Aliaksandr Vaitseshyk called the police. It was clear that the trade union activist was right. However, after receiving a telephone call police captain Radchanka and other policemen took Aliaksandr Vaitseshyk to the Niasvizh DPD, where he was charged with violating Article 17.1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses by using obscene language in public. (disorderly conduct) and put in the remand prison for two days.

The activist appealed the inhuman incarceration conditions in prison to the Prosecutor General.

“General Prosecutor's Office reacted very promptly to the shortcomings in the work of the Niasvizh DPD, described in my appeal. I thought that the Investigative Committee will hold an objective inspection on its errand and bring the guilty to the legal account. I am not sure that the inspection was conducted properly. Therefor, I have appealed to the Niasvizh prosecutor,” commented Mr. Vaitseshyk.

Earlier, the R
epublican Hygiene and Epidemiology Centre of the Department of Finance and the Rear agreed with his arguments about the conditions in the Niasvizh remand prison and ruled that the cells be repaired.
