Freelance journalists Natallia Kryvashei and Kanstantsin Zhukouski, were fined Br3.6 million by Buda-Kashaliova District court.

Journalists learned about it after being summoned to the court, BelSat reports.

On June 5, a stranger phoned to Natallia Kryvashei at 12:39 a.m. She introduced herself as Ina Siadota, the clerk of Buda-Kashaliova District Court, and
stated that at 3 p.m. the journalist would be tried Art. 22.9, para. 2 of the Administrative Code (illicit production and distribution of mass media production).

Recently, the journalists have been sent other violation reports with charges of "illicit manufacture and distribution of mass media production", regarding a video about the suicide of a Homieĺ lecturer. According to Mr. Zhukouski, that trial was appointed on June 9.

This year Natallia Kryvashei will be tried for the third time, Kanstantsin Zhukouski - for the sixth time. "It is a systemic, if we are tried 6-7 times. It is just a comic situation", an independent journalist remarked.
