The head of the Police Department of the Babrujsk City Executive Committee Andrei Havaraka found no law violations in the actions of officers and employees of the Center for Hygiene and Epidemiology, who gave permission for the destruction of the green zone during the construction of hypermarket, Sanzona under construction hypermarket, reports the newspaper "Kommercheskiy Kuryer".

Let us remind that in February a resident of house No. 39 in Lynkou Street, Artsiom Zharnasek, appealed to the Prosecutor General's Office. The validity of his complaints was recognized and the appeal was forwarded to the Babrujsk City Prosecutor's Office, which responded that the legislation regulating the order of public discussions had been violated. Mr. Zharnasek was promised that the guilty would be brought to the legal account. However, these hopes didn't come true.

"I inform you that your application on the issue of a legal assessment of the actions of officials of the Babrujsk City Executive Committee and Babrujsk Zonal Center for Hygiene and Epidemiology
regarding the allocation of a plot for construction of the commercial facility at the intersection of 50 hadoŭ VLKSM and Lyńkoŭ Street has been considered. No violations have been found as a result of an inspection of the actions of officials of the Babrujsk City Executive Committee and Babrujsk Zonal Center for Hygiene and Epidemiology. It was decided to stop the inspection,” reads the answer of the police department.

Artsion Zharnasek also draws attention to the violation of Ruling No. 35 of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Belarus (May 15, 2014) "Requirements for the organization of sanitary- protection zones of enterprises, buildings and other facilities that influence human health and the environment," which Babrujsk officials drew as an argument.

Paragraph 23 of the ruling reads that shops, pavilions, booths, tents, trays, vending machines and car shops can be placed on the territory of the sanitary protection zone All these are retail shops, whereas in this case officials and employees of the Center for Hygiene and Epidemiology gave permission for construction of a large hypermarket (occupying the area of 10,000 square meters), which is a violation of the ruling.
