The Polish city of Wroclaw gathered together politicians, diplomats, businessmen, representatives of the media and civil society activists to discuss the most important issues in the field of economy, security and democratic values.

Sixth Wroclaw Global Forum, organized by the Atlantic Council of the United States, the city of Wrocław and the Polish Institute of International Affairs, is held from 11 to 13 June.

Among the key topics of the panel discussions are defense and international security in the context of the conflict in Ukraine and the Middle East, the impact of Russia's actions on transatlantic relations and the future of the Eastern Partnership.

An important aspect of the Forum is a solemn presentation of the Atlantic Council Freedom Award "to individuals and organizations who defend the idea of freedom in the world and contribute to the expansion of civil liberties".

Let us remind that the Human Rights Center "Viasna", together with the Belarusian Association of Journalists and the Belarusian Free Theater won this prestigious award in 2011.
