Detentions and arrests of football fans at Belarus Football Championship

As reported by belultras.by, football fans have been repeatedly detained during the during the World Cup football in Belarus has repeatedly delayed football fans.

In particular, on July 7 fans of the football club BATE reported on their FB account about the detention of ten fans of BATE during the match between Sluck and BATE. All detainees were presented charges, one of them was held in detention over night. The probable reason for the detention was the roll “Foward Barysaŭ” between the fan sector of “BATE” and those who came late for the beginning of the match. All detainees were fined.

Moreover, July 5 a Dynamo fan was expelled from the stadium for a scarf with “Pahohia” emblem. Another Dynamo fan, watching the match from the so-called “hill” at the stadium Tractor, not at the stadium itself, was detained by the riot police while going to toilet. The probable reason of the detention was his tattoo. As a result, on July 6 he was sentenced to ten days of arrest under Article 17.1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses, “disorderly conduct”.
