Police Department of Mahilioŭ Regional Executive Committee holds an inspection in connection with “Viasna” article

The reason for the inspection is the article “Head of a police department in Mahilioŭ accuses activist of trying to bribe him”.
The civil society activists Aliaksandr Khamratau and Zmitser Zdobnikau came to the head of Leninski District Police Department of Mahilioŭ Aliaksandr Maskaliou asking to be given an opportunity to study the materials of the administrative case against Sviatlana Ivaniushava.
However, the policeman paid an inadequate reaction to their request. According to the youngsters, they were first pushed out of his office. Then, already in the corridor, Maskaliou loudly accused them in attempting to bribe him.
As stated by the Police Department of Mahilioŭ REC, the inspection is held both on the fact of the publication at the website spring96.org and the appeal of Aliaksandr Khamratau and Zmitser Zdobnikau, filed to the police department on July 8.
