Border guards seize books by Andrei Pachobut from freelance journalist

Books were seized from Radio Racyja's editor at Hrodna-2 customs checkpoint.

Journalist Aliaksei Trubkin was detained for three hours for giving explanations to the customs service at the railway station in Hrodna. The incident took place in early hours of Saturday, when the man was returning to Belarus on the train from Malkinia to Hrodna, Tvoj Styĺ online newspaper.

Customs officers found suspicious the book by Andrei Pachobut "System Białoruś" with a photo of Aliaksandr Lukashenka on the cover. They also seized the Review-Chronicle of Human Rights Violations in Belarus in 2010 published by the Human Rights Center "Viasna". The customs officers paid no interest to historical books in the journalist's backpack.

The review-chronicle and Poczobut's book were confiscated. The future will be determined by state experts.
