Detention of protesters near Palace of Independence

In the afternoon on September 7, the real estate investors, who were defrauded by the developer Valyń Ltd. held another picket.

This time several dozens of people unfurled transparencies near the Palace of Independence. When they started dispersing, several people were detained. As reported by realty.tut.by, they are Leanid Krasouski, Siarhei Shun'ko and a journalist for “Narodnaja Volia”, Katsiaryna Andreyeva, who possessed an editorial assignment for the picket, which was taken from her during the detention.

The press secretary of the Belarusian Association of Journalists Barys Haretski wrote in his FB account that all detainees were driven to the Centraĺny District Police Department in Minsk.

At about 7.10 p.m. the detainees were taken to the Centraĺny DPD, where Mr. Haretski was waiting. The journalist was released in about 1.5 hours without getting any charges.
