Viachaslau Siwchyk gets summoned to police
The police want to interrogate Viachaslau Siwchyk, chairman of the Movement of Solidarity "Together", who has recently returned to Belarus, regarding the street protests of December 19, 2010.
At first Mr. Siwchyk received a telephone call from the Centraĺny District Police Department of Minsk. However, the politician refused to come for the interrogation, as he doesn't trust to telephone calls. As it became known on September 30 evening, he was brought an official writ with the demand to appear at the Centraĺny District Police Department of Minsk at 5 p.m. on October 1 for “consideration of a case of administrative offense, provided for by Art. 23.34 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Belarus”.
Let us remind that September 30 the Centraĺny District Court of Minsk fined four politicians for participation in a rally and a picket on September 16 and 23 respectively.
