The Centraĺny District Court of Minsk considered today an administrative case of Usevalad Auramenka, a participant in a post-election protest staged in Kastryčnickaja Square on October 11. He was accused of hooliganism (Art. 17.1 of the Administrative Code), which he allegedly committed in a public place.

The charges were supported by two police officers who were on duty in civilian clothes.

They testified that Auramenka used foul language, harassed citizens and did not react to orders from the police officers. As a result, Judge Viktoryia Shabunia ignored the defendant’s arguments and ruled to fine him 1.8 mln rubles.

Usevalad Auramenka was detained together with his friend Yauhen Amelkau and five activists of the anarchist movement. They had spent the night at the detention center. All of them faced administrative charges and stood trials.
