Andrei Kavalchuk, an opposition activist in Brest, has written to the Investigative Committee to complain about an incident of November 6, when he was detained by police officers and taken to the police station.
Andrei Kavalchuk says that the police officers beat him for wearing a T-shirt with the image of the Pahonia coat of arms. The activist was handcuffed and then taken to the police station where he was held for half an hour. He was then released without charges. Andrei says that charges may be brought against him later.
After his release, Andrei Kavalchuk went to a medical facility to verify the injuries and then wrote a complaint to the Investigation Committee.
