The Svislač District Court has fined Yury Hlebik 4.5 mln rubles for involvement in a memorial event held to honor the memory of the 1863 anti-Russian uprising participants, which was held on October 31.
The administrative charges were backed by three police officers and video footage recorded during the event.
As a result, Yury Hlebik was found guilty of violating Article 23.34 of the Administrative Code (violation of the order of organizing or holding mass events).
The activist does not agree with the court ruling and says that he is going to appeal it to the Hrodna Regional Court.
