Journalist Kanstantsin Zhukouski charged with 2 more offenses

On February 13, freelance journalist Kanstantsin Zhukouski received by mail two administrative reports sent by the employees of Žlobin district police department. He is again accused of violating Article 22.9 of the Administrative Code – illegal manufacture of media products. The charges stem from two reports aired by the TV channel "Belsat": about a dying village, and economic problems of the industrial giant – Belarusian Steel Works.
Earlier this month, Kanstantsin Zhukouski was charged with the same offense by the police department of Vietka.
In February, the freelancer has already received a penalty for his professional activity: the court of Buda-Kašaliova district sentenced him to a fine of 8.4 mln rubles...
On January 14, the Kalinkavičy District Court fined Kanstantsin Zhukouski 7,350,000 rubles for violation of Article 22.9 of the Administrative Code.
On January 20, the Karma District Court also punished him by a fine of 6.3 mln rubles.
