The Maladziečna District Court has ordered jail terms ranging between 7 and 15 days against a dozen persons detained following yesterday’s protest, including several opposition leaders, Anatol Liabedzka and Vital Rymasheuski, in particular.
Liabedzka and Rymasheuski were sentenced to 15 days in jail, each.
The Court also convicted For Freedom leader Yuras Hubarevich, UCP activist Volha Kavalkova and a few other persons.
The opposition activists were detained shortly after the protest, which was attended by several hundred people.
