Viktar Maroz and Miraslau Lazouski have been released from detention facility No 1 today, thus being the last from the group of people charged with creation of an illegal armed group, art. 287.

The head of the Investigative Committee Ivan Naskevich have commented today that there are no grounds for keeping the accused in custody, but he abstained from any comments concerning possible developments in the case.

Initially, 35 people were charged with preparing mass disorders (art. 293), and further 20 of them have been additionally charged with forming an illegal armed group (art. 287). The suspects were united by their former participation in an organization White Legion (that, however, dissolved 15 years ago), in a sports club Patriot or in the political youth organization Young Front. Members of the Young Front were soon released and cleared off the charges.

On June 16, it was reported that the charges on preparing mass disorders were dropped, and the case on forming the illegal group was handed over to the Investigative Committee.

At the beginning of June, several people were set free, and the remaining persons in small groups have been released this week.
