415 protesters were detained during yesterday’s Women’s March in Minsk, according to the Interior Ministry’s spokesperson. Viasna knows the names of 390 detained demonstrators, most of them women.

The authorities also claim they released 385 detainees later the same night. Others are expected to face administrative charges of “illegal protesting.”

Although excessive violence or riot gear were not used, dozens of protesters were detained by unidentified men in uniforms and in civilian clothes. At least two women were hospitalized.
