Human rights defender Valiantsin Stefanovich has finally received a summons to court. The case will be considered by Judge Alena Siamak – she protracted the appointment of the trial for more than four months, though the legal term for considering lawsuits is just one month.

A member of the Belarusian Social Democratic Party “Hramada” and the civil campaign “Tell the Truth!” Valiantsin Lazarenkau and a member of the United Civil Party Viktoryia Hryniuk will run at Ivatsevichy electoral constituency #11.

On 29 June entrepreneur and civil activists Mikalai Charnavus received a letter from the deputy head of the Baranavichy City Executive Committee Dz. Kastsiukevich, in which it was stated that the executive committee refused to authorize the countrywide rally on 9 July, by means of which Mr. Charnavus wanted to inform the public about the absence of real elections in Belarus at all levels.

The Homel regional organization of the United Civil Party held a sitting for the nomination of members to electoral commissions. It was decided to nominate eight people to the constituency electoral commissions in Homel and the Homel region. The regional organization of the “Fair World” party also nominated ten members to the electoral commissions, and two more were nominated by the Belarusian Popular Front Party.
