Civil society activist Aliaksandr Malochka has appealed to Salihorsk District Prosecutor's Office seeking the punishment of the local traffic policemen who refused to communicate with him in Belarusian and were unable to draw up a violation report in the Belarusian language which presenting him charges of a violation of the traffic rules.

13.07.2015 Homieĺ journalists challenge Rahačoŭ fines

July 10, Homieĺ freelancers Natallia Kryvashei and Kanstantsin Zhukouski filed cassation appeals to Homieĺ Regional Court, in which they challenge the verdict of Rahačoŭ District Court, by which they were fined 6.3 million rubles under Article 22.9 of the Code of Administrative Violations for cooperation with Polish satellite TV channel "Belsat".

As learned by the Human Rights Center "Viasna", Illia Dabratvor has recently received a message from the United Nations Human Rights Committee telling about the registration of his complaint of a violation of the rights for freedom of peaceful assembly and freedom of expression.
