31.08.2011 Ihar Sluchak sentenced to 3 days of arrest
On 30 August Judge of the Savetski District Court of Homel Shaustruk found Ihar Sluchak, a member of the United Civil Party, guilty of using obscene language in public (Article 17.1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). He was sentenced to 3 days of arrest (which he served awaiting the trial) and was released from custody right in the court hall.
02.06.2011 Political prisoner Dzmitry Novik is pressurized in Shklou penal colony
Dzmitry Novik was sentenced to 42 months in a high-security penal colony for participation in the protest rally against the rigging of the presidential elections on 19 December in Minsk. In his recent telephone conversation with his mother the prisoner said that he was being provoked in prison. He said that soon there could be declared an amnesty, that's why the possible reason for the provocations could be that the prison administration wants to leave him in jail, or even give him another sentence.
05.05.2011 Incident at the trial of Vital Rymasheuski
The trial of the co-Chair of the organizing committee of the Belarusian Christian Democracy Vital Rymasheuski at the Frunzenski was marked with a rather unpleasant incident. Police major Maksim Hryshchanka clang to Tatsiana Seviarynets, the mother of another political prisoner, Pavel Seviarynets, and tried to tear down a white-red-white ribbon from her neck.

Many people wanted to hear the evaluation of the events of 19 December 2010 in Minsk. An appropriate presentation was to have taken place at 7 p.m. in the Minsk office of the Human Rights Center Viasna. However, 20 minutes before it, the office was ringed by the police.
05.05.2011 Provocation against journalist Volha Klaskouskaya, sister of political prisoner Aliaksandr Klaskouski
Volha Klaskouskay was taken out of her house in the night time in handcuffs. The police beat hear and tore her blouse when she tried to defend herself. She was taken to the Leninski District Police Department of Minsk barefoot and was kept there till morning. Her relatives managed to pass her clothes and shoes only in the morning.

The presidential candidate Yaraslau Ramanchuk has applied to the Minister of Internal Affairs Anatol Kuliashou, the KGB head Vadzim Zaitsau and the General Public Prosecutor Ryhor Vasilevich with a claim concerning the statements of the head of the Presidential Administration, Uladzimir Makei in his interview to RTR-Belarus TV-channel.

12.10.2010 Minsk police looking of assailant on member of electoral team of Yaraslau Ramanchuk
Several days ago two unidentified persons assaulted the member of the electoral team Uladzimir Zvernik and tried to seize from him the lists with signatures in support of Mr. Ramanchuk. The incident took place near the Western supermarket in the Sukharava suburb, where the activist held an electoral picket. Mr. Zvernik managed to save the signature lists thanks to the assistance of passers-by. However, the assailants seized his certificate of member of the electoral team.
11.10.2010 Homel police reluctant to catch those who attack opposition pickets
The electoral picket of the potential candidate Uladzimir Niakliayeu near the Homel supermarket was attacked by an unknown person who insulted the picketers and tried to provoke a fight. A police station is in five-minute walk from the place of the picket.

At first 7 activists of the Belarusian anarchist movement were detained for three days, allegedly on suspicion in involvement with the attempt to set the Russian Embassy in Minsk on fire with the use of Molotov cocktail on 3 September. Then they were detained within the frames of a criminal case related to the Palace of Trade Unions.
