14.06.2011 Vitsebsk and Haradok: civil activists are banned to hold pickets for resignation of the government
The district authorities explained their refusals to authorize the actions by saying that neither the site near the Summer Amphitheatre in Vitebsk, nor the central square in Haradok were included in the list of areas identified for public events. However, civil activists don’t see any sense in holding such actions in the unfrequented places that were determined for such actions by the authorities.

14.06.2011 Weekly Review of post-election situation in Belarus (6-12 June)
The total sum of fines given to participants of the Stop Petrol protest exceeds 3 mln Belarusian rubles. On 12 June the riot police violently dispersed a spontaneous protest action of drivers at the border crossing point Bruzgi. Human rights defenders demand that the authorities stop cruel treatment and torture of political prison Mikita Likhavid. A member of the United Civil Party, businessman Andrei Bandarenka was acquitted after spending two years in jail. The Belarusian democratic organizations the Belarusian Association of Journalists, the Human Rights Center Viasna and the Free Theater received the Freedom Award at the Wroclaw Global Forum held on 9-11 June.

The social network Vkontakte again gathered Salihorsk residents on the central square on 12 June. All in all, 50 people took part in the Revolution through social networks rally, organized by a user of v.kontakte.ru.
13.06.2011 Mahiliou: KGB reluctant to return video camera to Zmitser Salauyou
On 15 January 2011 the apartment of Zmitser Salauyou, Chair of the Mahiliou region organization of the BPF Adradzhenne, was searched by the KGB. As a result, they confiscated the system unit of his computer, a memory flash card and a video camera. Moreover, the activist was repeatedly interrogated by officers of KGB and military counter-intelligence.
13.06.2011 Ales Kirkevich's correspondence detained by prison administration
The Hrodna resident Ales Kirkevich, convicted for 4 years for participation in the so-called “mass riot” on 19 December 2010 in Minsk, is still kept in the pre-trial prison in Valadarski Street in Minsk.
13.06.2011 Spontaneous protest of drivers at Bruzgi border crossing point
The spontaneous rally of protest against a new customs fee took place on 12 June evening at the border crossing point Bruzgi in the Hrodna region. The action was dispersed by the riot police with the use of tear gas and police gear. 15 protesters were detained.
10.06.2011 Homel: opposition activists apply for authorization rally against poverty
Representatives of the Homel coalition Our Alternative applied for authorization of a rally against poverty on 3 July. Earlier they also applied for a picket in cooperation with the Young Front and the civil campaign Speak Truth.
09.06.2011 Biaroza: the only Belarusian-language form closed down
The only form with the Belarusian language of instruction was closed down in secondary school #2 after four years of work. The form was established after Aleh Labovich, engineer of one of Biaroza enterprises, spent a year on correspondence with different scientific and educational institutions. 16 parents also signed for the establishment of the form.
09.06.2011 “Revolutions through social networks” held in Homel, Salihorsk, Mazyr and Babruisk
In Homel the protest action took place at the central square of the city at 7 p.m. on 8 June. More than 100 people answered the appeal of the Revolution through social network community in the social network Vkontakte by coming to the action. The majority of the action participants were youngsters, but there were also some elderly people. Following the conditions of the action the people brought no symbols and chanted no slogans. They just stood peacefully, talking to one another. The police didn't come to the action.
08.06.2011 Smaliavichy: detention of trade union activist Mikalai Pakhabau
At about 10 a.m. Mikalai Pakhabau, Chair of the Barysau town organization of the Belarusian Independent Trade Union of Radio Electronic Industry, was stopped by the road police near the town of Smaliavichy.
07.06.2011 Salihorsk authorities ban protest rallies
The Salihorsk Town Executive Committee didn't authorize the actions of protest against the economic crisis that were scheduled for 11-12 June. The TEC Chair Aliaksandr Rymasheuski explained it with “the absence of clarity concerning the form of holding the mass events”.
07.06.2011 Weekly review of post-election situation in Belarus (30 May – 5 June)
The trials of the majority of figurants of the “19 December riot” criminal case came to an end in May. 31 people were convicted. However, there remain about 20 suspects and accused who haven't been tried so far. Rodion Marinichev, correspondent for the Russian TV channel Dozhd, was deported from Belarus and banned entry for 5 years. The court left in force the official warning to the private socio-political weekly Nasha Niva. The cassation appeal against the warning issued to the Chair of the Human Rights Center Viasna, Ales Bialiatski, for activities on behalf of unregistered organization, was left standing as well. The Ministry of Justice exercises pressure on lawyers. Convicts make statements about the use of torture during the investigation.

The recent scandal with tear gas sprayed by ensign Retsikau near the face of a five-year-old child at a football match in Babruisk is still remembered by many. However, the riot police are not going to calm down.

For instance, accoridng to information of Valery Tsimakin, a member of the Pinsk organization of wheelchair disabled, they are unable to enter the main office of Belahraprambank. The organization conducted monitoring concerning the creation of the barrierless environment in the city and registered many violations of the Belarusian legislation in this sphere.
