Mikalai Hladyshau, activist of the United Civil Party, was summoned today to Leninski district police department of Mahiliou to be interrogated and charged with an administrative offence. The activist is accused of violating Article 23.34 of the Code on Administrative Offences, “violation of the order of organizing and holding mass events.”

Civil society activist Valery Vusik filed on July 5 a complaint to the Chairman of Mahiliou Regional Court, Ihar Prashko. In his complaint, the activist asks to cancel a ruling by the district court of Bialynichy that sentenced him to fine of 5 mln rubles in late March.
05.07.2013 Police and courts keep hounding Vitsebsk activist
A resident of Vitsebsk Piotr Ivanov was again fined for an administrative offense allegedly committed by him. The amount of the fine is 5 mln rubles. And the fact that he had been tried was reported to Piotr Ivanov only when the proceedings in the court had been over: as claimed by Mr. Ivanov, he had received the summons the day after the hearing.

Hrodna activist of the Belarusian Christian Democracy, Siarhei Verameyenka, has not yet received the decision of the Regional Court, which dismissed his appeal against the ruling of the court of Leninski district of Hrodna, and now is virtually unwilling to send its own judgment.
13.06.2013 Vitsebsk activists lose their case and fail to get to trial over Haidukou
A member of the Conservative Christian Party BPF Yan Dzyarzhautsau and the head of the Vitebsk branch of the BPF Leanid Avtukhou came to the Vitsebsk Regional Court where their appeals against verdicts of lower courts. They weren't allowed to the second floor where the second hearing on the criminal case against civic activist Andrei Haidukou was about to begin. The cassation appeals were considered for just 15 minutes. Judge Iryna Smaliakova stated that the appeals were to be dismissed.

On 12 June a civil activist from Baranavichy Viktary Syrytsa was officially summonsed to the Baranavichy District Police Department as one of the organizers of the Milavidy festival in honor of the 150th anniversary of the uprising of 1863.
13.06.2013 Head of disgraced "Union of Poles in Belarus" to stand trial
One more member of the unregistered "Union of Poles in Belarus", its chairman Mechyslau Yaskevich will soon be summoned to court as a defendant in administrative proceedings. The Shchychyn police forwarded to Hrodna a copy of the charges, given to Yaskevich for an alleged adminsitrative offense – holding an unsanctioned rally.
11.06.2013 Human rights activist hopes for objectivity of chairman of Supreme Court
On 8 June Baranavichy human rights activist Siarhei Housha filed an appeal to the Head of the Supreme Court of Belarus Valiantsin Sukala against the verdict of the Baranavichy court of 21 August 2012 according to which he was punished with a fine for the alleged use of foul language in a public place. The activist notes that the Brest Regional Court and the Supreme Court of the Republic of Belarus didn't grant his appeals against the illegality of administrative punishment.
