19.09.2011 Yaromenak sentenced to 12 days of arrest, Palazhanka – 11 days
Judge Natallia Vaitsekhovich of Minsk Tsentralny District Court sentenced Uladzimer Yaromenak to 12 days of administrative arrest and Nasta Palazhanka to 11 days of arrest for alleged violating Art. 23.34 of the Administrative Code (violation of procedures for organization and conduct of mass events).

Homel-based democratic activists Vasil Paliakou and Anatol Paplauny appealed to the UN Human Rights Committee against violation of their rights by the Belarusian authorities.

13.09.2011 Zmitser Shurkhai tried in absentia for picket in support of Zmitser Dashkevich
As it became known on 13 September, on 25 August Judge Chaplyhina had tried the Brest-based civil activist Zmitser Shurkhai in his absence. She found him guilty of participation in the picket in Horki and sentenced him to 10 days of arrest. The day he spent in the remand prison in Horki had been included in this term.
09.09.2011 Vaukavysk: Vital Huliak gets fined for invitations to People’s Assembly
Vaukavysk-based democratic activist Vital Huliak was fined 1,050,000 rubles for handing out invitations to the People’s Assembly, appointed on 8 October 2011.
08.09.2011 Minsk City Court turns down Alena Likhavid's appeal
The Minsk City Court left standing the verdict to Alena Likhavid, mother of political prisoner Mikita Likhavid. The woman had been sentenced to 10 days of arrest by Judge Vaitekhovich from the Tsentralny District Court of Minsk for participation in the silent protest action held on 20 July in Minsk. She was kept in a single cell during the 3 last days of her arrest.
07.09.2011 Ivan Shyla to spend 22 days in jail
The Horki District Court sentenced Ivan Shyla, a Salihorsk-based activist of the Young Front, to 20 days of arrest, for participation in the picket near the penal colony where the Young Front leader Zmitser Dashkevich is serving his two-year term, being subject to cruel and degrading treatment by the colony administration.
07.09.2011 Human rights defender summonsed to the police for “correcting the violation report”
Human rights defender Anatol Paplauny was detained by Homel police after the end of the 3 July silent protest action. He was guarded to the Tsentralny District Police department of Homel, where police captain Zura drew up a report under Article 17.1, “disorderly conduct", on the detainee.
07.09.2011 Vaukavysk: civil activist tried for invitations to People's Assembly
Vaukavysk-based civil activist Vital Huliak received a writ to the Vaukavysk District Court. He will be tried on Friday for “picketing with the aim to call to the People's Assembly appointed on 8 October 2011”.
02.09.2011 Homel: fine to Halina Staraselets left standing
On 2 September the Tsentralny District Court of Homel repeatedly considered the administrative case against Halina Staraselets. She was again found guilty of using obscene language in public (Article 17.1 of the Code of Administrative Offences) and was fined 105,000 rubles.
02.09.2011 Hrodna: Viktar Sazonau received charges
On 2 September Viktar Sazonau, human rights defender from Hrodna, was summonsed to the police station in Haradnichanskaya Street. There he was informed that a report for violation of Article 22.9, “unlawful production and distribution of unregistered printed production”, had been drawn up on him.

On 30 August 2011 the Baranavichy Town and District Court fined civil activist Aliaksandr Vaitseshyk for insubordination to lawful demands of police officer (Article 23.4 of the Code of Administrative Offenses).
26.08.2011 Zhodzina resident fined for attack on human rights defender
On 22 August, Zhodzina town court fined local resident Mr. Yakautsou BYR 350,000 on charges of attacking human rights defender Aliaksei Lapitsi with a knife back on 29 July.
24.08.2011 Mahiliou court reverses verdict to journalists
The administrative case of Viktar Masalovich and Viktar Kachan, reporters of the Babruiski kurier independent newspaper, is going to be reheard, as ruled by Mahiliou Regional Court, European Radio for Belarus reports.

Adam Bialiatski, son of imprisoned human rights defender Ales Bialiatski, has been fined BYR 350,000 by Minsk Tsentralny District Court for alleged disorderly conduct during yesterdays’ protest in central Minsk.
